The Matsumoto-jo Castle is black. I think its color is cool. It is one of the five national treasure castles.

I like a weathercock using Kanji which is Japanese language in spite of the Quasi-western-style building.
It is near the Matsumoto-jo Castle.

You can climb "the main gate of a Buddhist temple" during a special period. There is a signboard of "Zenko-ji" when you look up on from the second floor.
And you can enter under the floor of the temple. It is pleasant to feel for "a lock of heaven" in the dark.
It is in Togakushi slightly remote from Nagano Station.
It is the labyrinth mansion of Ninja. You will find the exit, if you will find out the tricks used in the Myoryu-ji temple of Ishikawa.
The moderate difficulty is very good.
It is one of the three most famous Buckwheat Noodles(Iwate Wanko Soba, Izumo Soba, Togakushi Soba)in Japan.
"Bocchi-Mori", an arrangement of the Buckwheat Noodles is the feature of it.
